Esco Pharma partners with UP College of Pharmacy
It was indeed a success for Esco Pharma to be the corporate sponsor for the training workshop organized by the premiere academe for Industrial Pharmacy in the Philippines, the University of the Philippines College of Pharmacy (UPCP).
The training workshop focused on Process Validation and Quality Risk Management. This was attended by professionals from various pharmaceutical and food manufacturing industries in the Philippines. Among the distinguished experts from the industry and the academe who served as resource speakers of the event are Ms. Ma. Rosario B. Barangan (VP for Production, EL Laboratories), Mr. Carlo L. Perete (TS Manager, GSK Phils./President, ISPE Phils.), Paul Marvin T. Quizon (Pharex Health), Mr. Antonio B. Regadio (Founder, Regworks Phils.), Mr. Mario Carlo A. Soliven (QA/PD Director, Pascual Laboratories), and Asst. Prof. Bryan Paul I. Bulatao (UPCP).
“Risk is intuitive and familiar to everyone, yet it is rarely defined with sufficient rigor for complex risk analysis”, said Ms. Barangan during her lecture about QRM. More emphasis on risk management and its effect to quality has been the focus of the entire training workshop. Quality coupled with safety shall be emphasized as the mantra of effective and efficient pharmaceutical processes.
