More than 250 professionals from the diverse industry of pharmaceutical sciences filled the Enrique M. Garcia Auditorium of the Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP), Quezon City last February 8, 2017 for aseminar on “Innovative Technology in Pharmacy Compounding” sponsored by the Esco Group of Companies in partnership with University of Santo Tomas (UST) – Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy and Lung Center of the Philippines.
The event highlighted the discussion of seven (7)significant topics in pharmacy, namely, Pharmacy Compounding, International Standards in Compounding, Engineering Controls, Isolation Technology, Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs, Automation-centered Architecture Workflow and Robotics Intravenous Automation (RIVA), an automated compounding device.TaPestle Rx and Esco Pharma Product Specialists served as speakers of the subject matters mentioned.

Aside from the lectures, a compounding personnel from San Juan de Dios Hospital shared her experience in utilizing an isolator (Containment Barrier Isolator) which the facility acquired from Esco.
As a display equipment, Esco brought itsVentilated Balance Enclosure (VBE) which is designed to provide protection when handling non-sterile hazardous compounds.
The participants dynamically took part during the whole day affair by relaying their involvement in the pharmacy practice and enthusiastically contributing during the open forum session. They have voiced their delight with how informative and comprehensive the discussion was.
