As the code red alert was raised to Sublevel 2, the highest alert level in the Philippines, the president of the Republic of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte announced last 16th of March 2020, that the entire Luzon including Metro Manila will be under enhanced community quarantine starting on the 16th of March until the 14th of April 2020. Access to the country’s economic center will be limited. People will not be allowed to go in and out of the zone by land, air, and sea as part of the safety measures implemented to prevent further local transmission.
In his speech, the president encouraged the mass to practice personal hygiene and eat healthily. He added that employees may work from home if possible, avoid gatherings, crowded places, and events, and carry out social distancing– choices our frontline health workers may not make.
Our medical frontliners must respond to this feat against COVID-19, just as how they respond to various occupational risks every day. Esco service engineers are no less alike as they have to carry out validation and certification of equipment such as PCR Cabinets and Biosafety Cabinets used in testing and research of the viral disease to ensure operator safety. They are equipped with proper instruments and are initially trained to handle these situations with the community’s and their personal safety as priorities.
To all the nurses, medical technologists, pharmacists, doctors, medical staff, scientists, and our very own Esco service engineers, whom without fail, help our medical frontliners deliver their duties by ensuring a safe-running equipment despite the impending risk, we VALUE your commitment! May you be safe as you battle to keep the community safe!
Esco family is one with you.
